About Me.
TriplePoint Equity (“TPE”) is a small, independent investment firm located in South Florida. We look to identify and acquire strategically positioned businesses across the southeastern United States.
TPE is not traditional private equity. We are independent sponsors who invest for the long-term and offer extreme flexibility around deal structures and business operations.
Our Story
The firm is led by three experienced professionals and partners who have spent their careers across M&A, Capital Markets, Corporate Strategy, and Technology at some of largest institutions in the world. All three partners quickly realized their desire to leverage their corporate transaction and operational experience to acquire and grow a portfolio of small businesses.

What We Look For
Durable Earnings
We target small businesses with sustainable and growing cash flows. Our sweet spot is businesses with $750k - $3mm of EBITDA.
Operating History
We are focused on finding and scaling a portfolio of small businesses for the long term. We like businesses with 10+ years of operating history and proven staying power.
Aligned Interests
We prefer to partner with business owners that are looking to stay on, roll equity, or a combination of both. Our investors expect us to have skin in the game - we expect the same from our business owner partners.
Low Capex & Client Concentration
While industry agnostic, we target businesses that are less capital intensive and have low client concentration.
Dedicated Employees
We plan to work with, empower, and support existing employees. We aren't looking to change the business drastically on Day 1.

Selectivity
Unlike traditional private equity, we do not have a blind pool of capital with a committed investment period and defined exit timeline. We are focused on finding enduringly profitable businesses that we can hold for long term. This allows us to be selective in identifying and investing in businesses we believe in.

We are laser-focused on growing the businesses we own to maximize their potential. As a result, we are directly aligned with the owners, management teams, and investors we work with. We bring our skillsets and the wealth of experience from our investor and advisor networks to help businesses achieve their next stage of growth.
Experience
We have extensive experience in investment banking, capital markets, and strategy at some of the largest financial institutions in the world. We believe leveraging this experience reduces our closing risks and makes us a reputable partner.
Flexibility
We are not a fund - we operate on a deal-by-deal basis. This allows us to be extremely flexible around structure and terms. We like to create win-win situations.
Lower-Middle Market Focus
We are focused on businesses with less than $25mm in Enterprise Value. This area of the market is typically underserved and less trafficked by most private equity shops. We search for diamonds in the rough.
Long Term Mindset
We do not flip businesses and do not seek cheap profits by cutting costs or reorganizing companies. We partner with management teams and entrepreneurs to sustainably grow their business towards scale over the long term.
